Forget blue suede shoes, give me this blue suede skirt any day. With a modern slit-front, it’s the perfect multi-season piece. The length and material make it fall appropriate or perfect for winter with tights and boots, and it easily transitions to spring. We had beautiful weather this weekend (upper 70s!), so I wore it to church with bare legs and pumps. It is from Baukjen, a line of clothing new to me. Founded in London, Baukjen’s mission is to “create clothes that inspire and empower the busy modern woman.” Now that is a statement I can get behind. I am all about clothes empowering women. This skirt is definitely one that I can see myself wearing for years to come. I love how adding this striped top (new obsession!) and my Chloe dupe bag gave it a 70s feel.
You may notice I am wearing glasses. I’m actually really blind and wear them about half the time instead of my contacts. I just usually don’t wear them on the blog because it is easier to hide behind sunglasses, grin. I recently joined Ditto’s Endless Eyewear Program for prescription glasses which is like Netflix for glasses. So awesome! If you’ve been a reader for a long time, you know I already use it for sunglasses. I’ll have a full post coming about it soon. If you’re interested, you can use the code STRAIGHTASTYLE for your first month free on either glasses or sunglasses.

You look so fashionable in glasses. I am a sucker for a suede skirt – and that one is amazing (and the $$$) – you are so lucky to have gotten it!

This looks is stunning! I love that top and your blue suede skirt. It is so crisp and clean. The gold statement necklace is a nice addition – I would have not thought to pair it with that top but I seriously love it!
