I’m not going to lie you all, this has been a tough week. I know I don’t mention it on the blog very much because this is sort of my escape, but infertility is no joke. It’s been a little over a year and a half since we started this journey, and it feels every bit that long. I was recently doing my current Bible study on a particularly tough day, and the topic was how important it is to draw near to God during a season of waiting. My biggest lesson during all of this is that God is good, during answered and unanswered prayers. Honestly, I’m glad I can say that. I always thought it would be true, but it is nice to know even by finding out the hard way. I’m realizing that sometimes trust just looks a lot like hard work. Sorry for getting more personal than normal, but I feel like I know so many of you and wanted to share a little. If you are in a season of waiting or difficulty, you are not alone. I’m sorry, and I pray you can find hope. He is worthy of our trust.
Now back to fashion! Partly because I didn’t feel like dragging myself out to take pictures on the only night we could and partly because my photographer husband was gone one night, I don’t have a new outfit post for you. As fall really gets into swing, I thought I would take the opportunity to share some of my fall essentials. This is what I consider everything you need for a stylish fall season. I’ve worn a lot of these items on my blog, so I thought it would be fun to round up the fall trends along with my favorite picks. I didn’t list midi skirts/dresses, but you all already know I am obsessed with those. I should also mention that blush pink, grey, burgundy, and emerald are big colors this year. Bonus points for one of these in those colors! I’d love to hear what you like best and feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

I do hope your prayers are answered soon, I don’t doubt for a second they will be.
Love your fall picks, a great pair of booties is essential, and I like the ones which are a bit different than the norm!

Thank you so much for your kindness and encouragement.
You are so right about all of these items. I want to try a pinafore also. I would love to own all of those items but if I had to chose just two I would go for those amazing colorblocked stack-heel booties and that camel suede pinafore dress.
Hope you had a fantastic weekend so far Amy!
I want those vest top and suede jumper 🙂
Great list babe

I keep you in my thoughts and prayers! It is so hard – when asking for anything from God – to hear a “not right now” or worse to feel like you’re hearing nothing. But we have His comfort during the waiting times. My church did a really good series about staying positive and how even in the tough times we have so many reasons to be otpimistic. If you’re interested, you can view it all free online here: http://www.life.church/watch/stay-positive/ Thought it might be helpful for you 🙂 I know it’s tough, but hang in there, God can and does work miracles.
Side note – I love that floral dress, the kind of 70’s trend thing I think works for all seasons (as we are in spring here!)

You never have to apologize for sharing the not so perfect parts of your life. Perhaps during this season of waiting that is exactly what Christ wants you to do. You can help so many others going through similar circumstances, even if it is simply to help them feel less alone. It’s wonderful to see that despite everything your faith is strong. God is good. He has your back. Always. I will keep you in my prayers, Amy Ann, and am certain that in God’s perfect timing you’ll be released from your season of waiting and rewarded for your trust.
Nice recap of fall’s outfits Amy Ann. You are a very source of inspiration! Have a nice day, kisses (and thank you for your visit),
