Burgundy Leather Pleated Midi Skirt

September 25, 2015

It’s no secret I am a midi skirt fan (evidence here). I find them so versatile and wearable. Burgundy and suede/leather are proving to be a big trends for the fall, so when I saw this burgundy leather pleated midi skirt, I knew it needed to come home with me. I snagged it in Zara while in NYC and then proceeded to lament that we don’t have a Zara in Tulsa. Or a Topshop. Life is hard. I digress… Another big trend for fall seems to be wearing an all burgundy outfit or at least similar hues, so I was thrilled when my SheIn blouse (only $17!) arrived just in time to pair the two together. I love the collar detailing on it! I added my red bag and my Lucky tie heeled booties which are sooo comfy.

I hope you all have a great weekend! Russ and I are headed into a busy October, so we are taking it easy this weekend.

I also wanted to take the opportunity to share about my Rodan + Fields experience. I’ve posted about using the acute care strips for expression lines once before here. I only used them one time but liked the results. Before heading to NYC, of course I started thinking about putting my best foot forward. I used a tan towel, white strips, and contacted my good friend, Kim Watson, a new Rodan + Fields consultant about using a few more of the strips. I have smile lines that I want to disappear! While I have a scheduled dermatology appointment coming up where I plan to discuss a good skincare routine for a person about to enter her thirties (gulp), I hadn’t gone yet and wanted a quick fix. I purchased three strips to use the week leading up to NYFW. I am sharing my results below and actually reusing my picture from my first experience because the results were the same, and I didn’t bring my good camera to New York. Keep in mind the first photo is at the end of the day with lots of smiling, talking, and yawning. The second photo is when I first woke up and removed the strips. I saw a difference the day of, just like last time, but after using them three times (a one week plan) and waiting a week to review, I do not really see any permanent results. That being said, the suggested plan is at least 10 applications (one month) and boosts long-lasting results at that time. There are a ton of really amazing and convincing before and afters on all areas of the face. If you’re interested in these or any Rodan + Fields products, you can purchase them through Kim here.
