I’m not going to lie you all, this has been a tough week. I know I don’t mention it on the blog very much because this is sort of my escape, but infertility is no joke. It’s been a little over a year and a half since we started this journey, and it feels every bit that long. I was recently doing my current Bible study on a particularly tough day, and the topic was how important it is to draw near to God during a season of waiting. My biggest lesson during all of this is that God is good, during answered and unanswered prayers. Honestly, I’m glad I can say that. I always thought it would be true, but it is nice to know even by finding out the hard way. I’m realizing that sometimes trust just looks a lot like hard work. Sorry for getting more personal than normal, but I feel like I know so many of you and wanted to share a little. If you are in a season of waiting or difficulty, you are not alone. I’m sorry, and I pray you can find hope. He is worthy of our trust.
Now back to fashion! Partly because I didn’t feel like dragging myself out to take pictures on the only night we could and partly because my photographer husband was gone one night, I don’t have a new outfit post for you. As fall really gets into swing, I thought I would take the opportunity to share some of my fall essentials. This is what I consider everything you need for a stylish fall season. I’ve worn a lot of these items on my blog, so I thought it would be fun to round up the fall trends along with my favorite picks. I didn’t list midi skirts/dresses, but you all already know I am obsessed with those. I should also mention that blush pink, grey, burgundy, and emerald are big colors this year. Bonus points for one of these in those colors! I’d love to hear what you like best and feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you so much for your sweet comment cannot wait to meet you all!
Well, it looks like you’re already having a stylish fall. Those boots just keep haunting me though – they’re SO cute!
And sometimes, you just need to share. We all act so happy on our blogs, and it should be a happy place, but we’re all real people, too and real people have struggles. I’m so sorry that you’re going through all of that. One of my best friends and her husband are at about 1.5 years too, and I just feel for them.
Have a great weekend <3

Matters not a jot about no outfit posts, Amy. What matters is you taking care of yourself. Love those leopard print shoes in the last photo!

I really do wish you and your partner the best. I know quite a few people who have been struggling with fertility issues, and it’s not a fun situation at all. On a fashion note, that suede dress is AMAZING!

Loving all of these looks Amy Ann, and I really need to add that fringe jacket to my wardrobe. Your style has been on point this season! I hope your weekend is much better, and I’m thinking of you. I know the frustrations of going through infertility, and it’s nothing I would ever want anyone to ever experience.

I’m so sorry to hear that you have dealt with infertility too. Like you said, I would not wish it on anyone. I appreciate your kind words!
You could not be more spot on with your choices! My favorite is 70s style, obviously, since I have been wearing it non stop!
