Groovy Baby

My 70s inspiration continues! I love this pair of flare jeans (last seen here), and I scored the best pair of platforms. This Michael Kors pair is 65% off at Dillards. Of course it’s no longer available online, but I just bought them at my local store. You can also find them on saleΒ hereΒ just not quite as much. I paired my flares with the perfect 70s inspired off the shoulder topΒ (only $14!). Don’t you just love the sleeve detailing? My sole society clutch made the perfect accessory to complete the look. 70s inspiration: flares, platforms, lace/fringe, and big sunglasses. Check! Not going to lie, when I saw these pictures, all I could think was “I should have steamed that top.” If you are distracted by the wrinkles, sorry.

In totally unrelated news. I accidentally did hot yoga this weekend AND NEARLY DIED. Did you know the room is 105 degrees? OMG. I spend my whole summer trying to escape that here in the desert otherwise known as Oklahoma. I had been feeling extra lazy lately, and one of the studios in town does a 1o days for $10 promo. I thought it would be a good way to try it out. I read the class description which sounded great and said nothing about hot yoga. Well that is because idiot me didn’t realize it was a hot yoga studio, so all the classes are hot yoga. I’ve never sweat so much in my life. My hair was literally wet. In all seriousness, it was a great workout, and I am considering going back – on the last day of my hair washing cycle. Let’s be clear because, priorities. Do any of you do do hot yoga?

Love this 70s inspired look! That top is so cute and the more I see flared jeans, the more I want to go back to wearing them. Your story about the hot yoga gave me a good chuckle. I tried hot yoga a couple of times in my life and I’m good with leaving it at that.

I do love the lace detailing on the sleeves and the clutch is my favorite piece. A little 70’s but still contemporary and fun.

Love that clutch, and your flared jeans are just perfect with those wedges! πŸ™‚

That wouldn’t be a nice surprise discovering during the class it was a hot yoga session, haha! I probably would have walked out, I hate getting too hot and sweaty!

Those flare jeans are really cute on you! I need to find a pair that will work with me. I don’t know if I could do hot yoga, maybe in the winter. I love to run, but never run outside in the summer as I just can’t deal with heat and humidity. You go!!

What a great look! You have managed to nail the 70’s look, yet it still looks fresh and modern. Another beautiful post.
