It’s flannel season y’all! My favorite season of all and my favorite shirt of all! I shared 10 ways to wear a flannel shirt last fall if you want even more inspiration. Today I wanted to share 3 ways to wear a flannel shirt using the exact same $30 shirt. Old Navy makes my all time favorite flannel shirts. They come back every year, are always good quality, come in several color option, and always affordable. These are broad outfit ideas that will give you multiple outfit ideas and creative pairings using what you already have in your closet.

Are you a flannel shirt lover like me? Today on the blog I am sharing three ways to wear a flannel shirt. These are broad outfit ideas that will give you multiple outfit ideas and creative pairings using what you already have in your closet.

How to Wear a Flannel Shirt

#1 – Under a Cardigan or Jacket

This is an easy look to wear with jeans and a cardigan. You can adjust your level of dressiness with your boot heel. You can tuck or untuck the flannel too. It would also be a fun swap to pair the flannel with a moto jacket instead of a cardigan. The combinations are endless with your top layer! You could even do a vest.

#2 As a Layer

Whether with jeans, leggings, or even over a fitted dress a flannel shirt makes a great layer. Here I paired it with a simple white t-shirt, jeans, and my favorite wedge sneakers for a casual yet cute outfit.

#3 – Tie it Around Your Waist

Similar to what I said above, regardless of whether you do this with jeans, leggings, or a dress tying a flannel around your waist is a fun outfit idea. It’s a great way to not only define your waist but also cover your bottom if you want extra coverage. It’s a fun and easy way to mix up your basics and create a new outfit too.
