How to Wear Denim in the Summer

I’ve already confessed that I have been on a major denim kick lately. It started with my denim dress. Then it was my frayed denim tank. Now here we are again. What can I say? I saw this embroidered denim tank top from Madewell on Sincerely Jules’s Instagram and tracked it down. Luckily I was able to try it on and score it on sale while in NYC (still on sale, btw). I just love the strap detail. I bought these boyfriend shorts at Gap last year (seen here) and have gotten a ton of wear out of them. They have a similar pair again this year in light denim, black (which I bought here), and white. These boyfriend shorts are a great option if you are looking for a pair. With all the denim I’ve been wearing, I thought it would be easy to round up my thoughts on how to wear denim in the summer. We all love our jeans, but when the temperatures climb, that doesn’t mean we have to give up our denim.

How to Wear Denim in the Summer

1. Opt for lighter weight denim or lighter colored denim jeans for those cooler evenings – white jeans or a fun striped pair are great options
2. Go for a chambray dress or romper.
3. Change your denim from your bottom half to your top with a tank or chambray shirt.
4. Consider a jean skirt instead of jeans.
