Today is my thirdΒ post with A Pea in the Pod (see the first one here and the second here). I’m styling double denim which is a great combo no matter your age or stage in life. I find myself wanting to start my maternity wardrobe with mirror pieces to my favorite non-maternity items. For me this means great jeans, stripes, solid color tops, easy dresses, and chambray. It’s always easy to add non-maternity layers and change things up.
Double denim seemed like a no-brianer when I saw this great chambray topΒ (exact non-maternity)Β . I actually ordered a medium (regular size is a small) and wish I’d gone with a small. Maternity sizing is all so new to me! It’s a bit big right now, but I imagine as my bump grows I’ll be able to get a lot of wear out of it all season. Paired with this drapey vest and good jeans, this is my fall formula.

Double denim is awesome for every season. That top is so chic. I have added several nice, unique chambray shirts to my closet this year. Love how you transitioned this with the pretty vest. Dying over the booties.

Oh I love that chambray top! I wear mine so often that I wish I would have gotten a maternity version as well. I agree about the sizing–typically I just go with my regular size although at this point (I’m 33 weeks) I’m starting to outgrow a few things. So I am glad for those pieces I bought a size up as well.
