4th of July Outfit Ideas

June 28, 2021

If you’re looking for some 4th of July outfit ideas then I have got you covered! I’m sharing several easy outfit formulas from casual to slightly more dressy, but all are fun and easy to wear whatever your plans many be for the holiday. Speaking of plans, what will you be doing? We are headed to Alabama to visit Russ’s family. I cannot wait! Thanks to COVID, we haven’t been back in a much longer time than usual, and his extended family will be meeting Jane Evelyn for the first time.

White Bottoms with a Red Top

When it comes to 4th of July outfit ideas, one of the easies combinations is a white bottom of some kind with a red top. White jeans seem slightly more summery than darker regular jeans. I just found this pair from Madewell that I have been LOVING! They are a high rise slim boyfriend jean, and I actually sized down 2 sizes. I love that they are a cropped straight leg as opposed to a skinny for summer. I paired them with this adorable red top also from Madewell.

I snagged this top from LOFT during a 50% off sale, and I am obsessed!! It’s SO cute and super flattering. I love the Ikat print, smocked top, and wider straps allowing for you to wear your usual bra. The red is so fun and also perfect with white shorts.

Denim Shorts and a Red Top

I first shared this look here in my post about the best denim shorts. I love this top!! It’s just $18 from Walmart and available in both red and blue. I actually wore it for Memorial day. It’s so fun with the eyelet ruffle sleeve detail, and I cannot believe it hasn’t sold out yet! It’s still fully stocked. I love it as a mom because it’s a t-shirt material, but it feels totally dressed up with the fun sleeve detail. Win!!!

White Bottoms with a Blue Top

Instead of pairing red and white, you can try blue and white! This pretty flutter sleeve top is also from Walmart and just $19.50! It’s one of those versatile tops that can easily be worn to work tucked into a skirt or high waisted pant, worn out with a work pant, or styled with jeans or shorts on the weekend. Paired with a white short, it is the perfect casual 4th of July outfit.

Chambray Dress

If shorts or jeans aren’t your thing, you prefer a dress, or your plans call for a slightly dressier look, a chambray dress is the perfect option! This cute tie shoulder one is the perfect option!
