Our Fall Family Photos

November 9, 2020

I am so thrilled to be sharing our fall family photos thanks to Randy Yeats. My heart is so full and filled with gratitude. I shared on my Instagram caption when I posted these, but at this time last year we were 15 months into the adoption process having heard NO over 30 times. We were starting to feel hopeless and wondering if we had misheard the Lord about our call to adopt. We were worn out. I had held off on scheduling our family photos hoping we would have a last minute addition to our family to include.

Well, December rolled around and that had not happened yet. I scheduled them for early December. I had no idea the day we took them I was barely pregnant and we would spend Christmas telling our family that God had indeed decided to grow our family. It was just in an entirely different way than we expected. This year our Jane Evelyn will be on our Christmas cards with us. What a sweet reminder of the kindness and faithfulness of God.

You truly never know what He might be doing and all that he can change in a year. we came off one of the hardest seasons in our lives into one of the sweetest (and sleepiest). In the midst of one of the strangest years of my life thanks to a global pandemic, Jane Evelyn’s life and story are consistently pointing me back to a God who loves and cares deeply for his people.
