So what is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and why all the hype so early? Well during the sale, NEW fall items are released and deeply discounted. It’s the only sale where brand new things are on sale. Last year I basically got my whole fall and winter wardrobe during the sale at awesome prices. So when is the 2020 Nordstrom Anniversary sale? The Nordstrom Anniversary 2020 sale will be from August 4th – August 30th. See all the details on the Nordstrom site here. Your exact date depends on whether or not you have a Nordstrom card and if so what status you are as a card holder. See below for more info.

Watch for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Preview

I recommend watching out for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale preview to come out. I’ll link it here when it does. This year they are offing a full preview of all sale items. You can shop early to decide what you want, add items to your wishlist, and easily check out when your window opens.

Shop Early Access

What is the difference between early access and public access for the sale? Nordstrom Anniversary Sale early access is for card members only. It starts about 2 weeks before the sale goes to public access and your start date depends on your card status. During public access anyone can shop the sale. Being a card member usually means you get the best items since you get to shop early before anything sells out.

I’m not one to sign up for store credit cards, and I would never push that on you if it’s not right. This is the only card I have for the sole purpose of the sale, and I have always found it worthwhile. If you are interested, you can apply for a Nordstrom credit card here so you will have early access by the time of the sale.
