One Sweater, Two Ways

November 15, 2019

Happy Friday everyone! Tomorrow my BABY GIRL turns THREE!! What is life and how has it gone so quickly?! Someone please tell me how to push pause. She is literally the light of our lives. In the funniest turn of events we are having a Daniel Tiger birthday party. I say birthday party loosely because it will be family and a couple friends who feel like family. I am holding off on big parties as long as possible. We are keeping things low key around here. Anyway, back to the theme. I have been cracking up because we don’t watch much TV in our house and have tried to limit her screen time in many ways so of course she wanted a TV themed birthday party. Ha! Just another example of how parenting has taught me to relax. This is about celebrating her and letting go of my preconceived notions of what I imagined a cute girly third birthday would look like. πŸ™‚

Adoption Update

In somewhat related news, I shared my first ever IGTV post on Instagram this week. Russ joined me for a video all about our adoption journey over the last year. If you have been curious about what has been going on or wanted an update, it is all in the video though I may post it here sometime too.

One Sweater, Two Ways

Back to fashion, I loved this Madewell sweater and have worn it multiple times already in a variety of different ways. I’m sharing one sweater two ways for you! Though I just have these two photos to share here, I also posted a third way on the carousel photo of this picture on Instagram. I love how versatile a good cream sweater can be! Of course this exact one sold out before I could post it, but hopefully it will still give you some inspiration. I’m also linking some great, similar options below. I paired it for the first time with flares and snake booties. The second time with my favorite black skinny jeans and my $24 Gucci dupe slides.

Those flare jeans are made for you! And I love your fun sweater! Isn’t it so funny the way kids pick up on things?! My youngest loves Elmo and has never watched a single episode of Sesame Street!

Happy birthday to your little girl. Birthdays are so fun when they’re young. I have that sweater in the rust color and LOVE it. The pale pink looks so pretty on you.
