What to Wear to a Football Game – Big 12 OU and OSU Fashion

I recently had the pleasure of doing a fun news segment with News on 6 about what to wear to a football game. Specifically we are talking Big 12 football schools like OU and OSU, but these looks can easily translate to any school. I graduated from The University of Oklahoma, so I am a little slanted towards OU gear, but I am going to try to keep it generic here. 😉 We all want to look cute while we watch the game, and those two are not mutually exclusive! 

What to Wear to a Football Game

When it comes to football fashion, there are so many different ways you can take your outfit! I love that about football. You can really dress according to your personality and fit in just fine though different schools vary some.

I was fortunate to work with a couple different boutiques to share three looks on the news segment I want to share with you. Below you will find three fun college game day outfits I shared plus a full outfit I styled and wore. I think there is a football outfit for everyone! 

Football Fashion Look #1 – A Casual Logo Dress

This adorable cold shoulder dress is from Gameday Couture. If you are in the market for any branded school gear, I highly recommend Gameday Couture. They are licensed to sell items from all major universities in the US and have the cutest options I have seen! The round clear bag is also from them. I styled it with my white Converse sneakers to keep it comfy and casual. 

Football Fashion Look #2 – A Neutral Dress + Fun Accessories

For look number two, I wanted to select something that might be a little more generic. This adorable cream dress is from Black Sheep Boutique. Check out their game day section! It’s something that you might even have a version of in your closet. When it comes to dressing for a football game, you can always go neutral and accessorize in your school colors. This is a great option for those of you who might not go to games as often and don’t want a closet full of t-shirts or logo items. 

I paired the dress with a clear bag from Black Sheep, a requirement of many stadiums now. To add some color, statement school color earrings are the perfect choice. I borrowed my mom’s amazing OU cowboy boots, but you could really do any shoe in a fun or neutral color you have on hand. 

Football Fashion Look #3 – Sweatshirt with Jeans/Jean Shorts

This adorable OU sweatshirt is also from Gameday Couture (OSU version here). It’s perfect for fall football on it’s own with a pair of jeans or jean shorts. All you need is a clear bag and some fun red shoes from Black Sheep. 

Football Fashion Look #4 – Jeans & a T-Shirt

For my last and final look, I am sharing what I wore for the segment and maybe my favorite of all. This is a fun and easily wearable jeans and t-shirt look dressed up slightly by layering a chambray shirt over the top.

My vintage feel OU tank is from Gameday Couture which I just love! I wanted to style it for fall, so I layered my chambray shirt over. Together they make great light layers. I drew in the black from it and paired it with my black jeans. To add some print and personality, I did a leopard bootie. This would also be the perfect look to wear to watch a game with friends during the season even if you weren’t at the stadium.
