Chunky Black Cardigan

I’ve been seeing these chunky cardigans on so many bloggers, and I finally got one. I’m not convinced they are the most flattering things ever created, but man are they cozy and fun to wear. I’ve worn this chunky black cardigan styled like this, with my leggings, and pretty much around the house in with my pjs too. 🙂 I also recently purchased this $10 tank top in both white and black. It is seriously the perfect layering piece. It is long and thick, and you cannot beat that price. It’s perfect under anything and with leggings (covers your bum). I was able to pull it up a little and tuck it in my jeans for this look too.

Hope you all had a great weekend! We had a pretty low key one which was just what we needed. If you saw my news on Instagram, we unfortunately said goodbye to our dog on Friday night. I adopted him in 2006 when I was in college. We found out he had cancer about a month ago, and it’s been a tough couple weeks watching him go downhill. It’s been a hard weekend without him. He loved Ivy Jean, and man did she love him. He was a huge part of our family. The regular rhythms of life feel so strange without him. Dogs become a huge part of our lives.

I have shared a little on stories about this too, but we have moved our guest room into what was a second living area/play room upstairs. It’s now kind of a combo room – guest room with seating and a play area. We are working to start a big girl room for Ivy Jean so we can use the nursery for baby two whenever that sweet baby arrives. I’m planning a little adoption update on the blog soon though we haven’t been matched yet or anything. We just want it to be as smooth of a transition as possible for Ivy Jean.
