This pom pom sweater has become one of my favorite things lately! Isn’t it just so fun? I love how it pairs with my black jeans and Gucci dupe slides for an easy casual look. It also comes in a more taupe version too. I wore this exact look for a casual day at work and have also worn this with my family. Speaking of family, we went to my nieces basketball game this weekend which was really fun. We are fortunate to have great family on both sides and really enjoy spending time with them.
I recently went through and archived some super old posts on the blog in an effort to make it run a little faster. I never imagined I would be a fashion blogger. When I started blogging in 2010, it was about anything and everything. It is embarrassing actually to look back on the quality. If you hit back enough those posts were still available until just now – yikes! I guess things have evolved quite a bit since then so the quality isn’t something I should be too embarrassed about. Anyway, there are some real gems back there. Some writing that shows I was a lot more open with myself and thoughts. As times has gone on, and this blog has grown, I think I have closed off in some ways. I’m not sure how to balance sharing about clothes and myself or what everyone wants to hear. Sometimes I do a better job of it than others. I’m often just too in my head about it, something I have a tenancy to do. Anyway, I’d love to hear any of your thoughts about what you might like to read/hear from me.

I also find myself embarrassed/laughing at old posts but I heard a great segment on one of the podcast episodes on The Skinny Confidential Him & Her recently about this! It was said that if you’re not a little embarrassed by your original/early work then you’ve started your work too late. That resonated with me so well! If we waited until we’ve mastered and perfected everything then we didn’t start soon enough! More time to grow and learn from ourselves 🙂

It is fun to look back, but we shouldn’t be embarrassed. I think life is like that…we grow and evolve and that’s a good thing. And it’s good to be open, but I kinda think there is a time and place. It’s an interesting balance. I tend to share more in my emails to my readers. That way you can get the inside scoop, but it’s not there for everyone.
