Velvet for the Holidays + Link Up

November 15, 2017

I’m back today with another holiday party outfit idea. I’m a sucker for a good skirt and over the knee boot combo, so when I got this velvet top I knew it was meant to be. Velvet is so on trend right now, and I cannot get over how great this top is. It’s another one that apparently everyone else felt the same way because it’s practically sold out on Shopbop. It keeps coming in and out of stock in limited sizes, so check back. It is available through Belk here.Β This skirt is currently 40% off making it just $36. It’s a really gorgeous jacquard material with the prettiest fall colors. I recommend snagging it!

Velvet for the Holidays

IΒ love velvet for the holidays. It is such a luxe material that it naturally feels special and perfect for the season. While scouring the internet for pieces to fill my holiday shopping page for you all, I have come across so many great velvet pieces at really affordable price ranges. I am linking a bunch below from dresses, to tops, to pants, and blazers. So many fun ways to combine velvet with other textures this season. We have a party with some friends coming up in early December, and I think this look will be the perfect thing. Not too dressy (like a lace dress) or too casual.

Boot Giveaway

In case you missed it on Instagram, I have teamed up with Marc Fisher to give away a pair of boots just like the one I was wearing on Monday’s post. Head over to this photo to enter. It is super easy, and you don’t want to miss these boots!

This is my kind of outfit for the Holidays. But I may switch the shoes to a block heel pump, block-heel booties, embroidered shoes or velvet booties. I still love this with the OTK boots. That top is gorgeous and I am a huge fan of mini skirts for December – as my last Thursday Moda style post also showed. I knew that skirt was Loft – though I have not seen it at the store – because I know and wear Loft so well + often. I too just recently purchased the prettiest velvet top and will style it on my blog next Wednesday – I think you will like it. πŸ˜‰

For sure this top is a total hit and the colour is right up there with the holiday colour scheme.

Such a luxurious look dear. Velvet is really a fabulous, and I love how you paired it with dark floral skirt. Really edgy and chic look.
