The Cutest Top for a Night Out

This is the cutest top for a night out! I love the polka dots and the neckline. The long sleeves paired with the cold shoulder make if work for fall while still giving it that special something for a date night or girls night out. The price is friendly too which I always appreciate for a good quality piece. We are grabbing Mexican with our friends and kiddos this Saturday, and if I get brave enough, I might just wear it with Ivy. I have kind of decided to just wear this type of thing regardless, because if I don’t, they hang unworn.

Have you been following along on Instagram lately? I’ve been having some fun conversations over there that really have me thinking and excited. I shared a more personal post on my way home from fashion week just expressing that I wasn’t sure I was cut out for it. I left feeling like there was so much hustle, so much comparison (mainly on my part), so much stress. And frankly it didn’t make me feel great about myself. Don’t get me wrong, it was amazing! And there were great parts too. It just made me realize as I headed home to my sweet husband and Ivy Jean that maybe I put too much emphasis and stress on my clothes and my Instagram feed when they don’t matter as much as I think they do. Russ and Ivy don’t care about them, and more importantly neither does Jesus.

Anyway, I never want my blog or my Instagram to make anyone feel less than perfect or like I have it all together. Because I sure don’t. I struggle with all the same thoughts and things that everyone does. I wonder if I am a good mom some days. I feel like my clothes are all wrong sometimes. I think we all do. To that end, I’m going to try to share a few more “everyday” type looks on my IG feed. I also wondered if you all would like some try on sessions on my stories? Just trying to think of more ways to connect in a real life way. Let me know what you think or if you have other ideas!
