I am all about the classics. Stripes and denim paired together make for an easy and put together look. Added a structured tote and matching cognac wedges to finish it off. The point is that outfits don’t have to be complicated to be great. What I love about this particular one is that the classics are well done.
I recently went into Madewell with my mom and walked out with more in one shopping trip than I have in a long time. I had heard tales of how great their denim is, and now I can personally testify. If you are in need of jeans, get yourself to a Madewell now (not a sponsored post). I’m one of those people who has way too many pairs of jeans in my closet that I only half like, and I am on a mission to change it. Anyone else? Tell me I am not the only one. I bought two pairs in one shopping trip which is basically unheard of for me. I have the hardest time finding denim! I’m super excited about a post I have coming up with AG too. Bring on the good denim! All that to say, I tried on every pair of jeans in my closest and took about 5 to the resale shop. This high rise classic wash pair has hardly left my body since it came home with me. They fit true to size.
I feel a bit like a broken record since I have said this on the blog before, but since having Ivy my life and wardrobe has changed a lot as you can imagine. So many wonderful changes, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. In some ways, I have felt a bit lost. As I learn ways to be stylish while also being practical and functional in my role as a mom, I love sharing those pieces with you. This blog continues to evolve with my life as I want to keep the outfits things I really wear. Insert cute t-shirts like this striped tie back one. Love when fun detailing meets wearability. I actually wore this exact outfit to take sweet Ivy girl to the doctor. This tote doubles well as a diaper bag.

I’ve heard such great things about Madewell denim, too, but have yet to try them out myself, it looks like I’ll have to check them out after having baby. I can understand where you’re coming from in finding a practical and stylish medium when it comes to getting dressed. Since becoming pregnant, I’ve been feeling conflicted with my style choices and have been reaching for certain items I normally wouldn’t, so I can imagine what will change after having her. You’ve done a marvelous job, though, at remaining stylish and practical in all the looks you’ve shared with us, including this one, so you’re nailing it! Thank so much for sharing, beauty, and I hope you’re having a great start to your week so far!

You are not the only one – I have too many pairs of jeans I do not like. I’ll be curious about your AG report. They are the best jeans for my husband – but I have not found a pair that works for me yet.

I need to get to Madewell and try their denim! I’m always a little afraid to go in there because of the sticker shock, but I’ve heard so many great things!! I love your evolving style (very similar to my own), when I can find a comfortable t-shirt that has cute details like yours, I’m sold!

This outfit is my go-to when I can’t decide what to wear. There’s truly nothing chicer than a striped tee and jeans.
