Ruffles for spring? Groundbreaking. Sorry, I couldn’t resist. In all seriousness, ruffles are a big trend for the spring. You are seeing them on tops everywhere, and I could not resist this sweater. I loved the white detailing. It is actually already on sale at Topshop (I bought it from Nordstrom). The material isn’t too heavy which will make it perfect for early spring. The weather in Oklahoma has been so nice lately. We’ve had some days in he 60s with most in the upper 40s or lower 50s which really makes blog pictures way more bearable. I wore this combo to get my hair done last week. Hooray for fresh hair!
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! We got to visit some of the nurses who took such good care of us and sweet Ivy Jean in the NICU. They were truly so wonderful to us, and it was important to us to express our thanks. One of them even went so far as to make Ivy the cutest onesie that says “worth the wait” when she found out our IVF story. It was a sweet reminder that even in the midst of hard things, there is always good. I also had my monthly girls dinner which is always a highlight for me. It was nice to get out of the house some as we are still staying in for the most part.
Last but not least, I have included a reader survey below. It would mean a lot to me if you would take the time to answer the nine short questions to help me better Straight A Style. I want this blog to be a place that inspires and encourages you. I’d love to hear what you think and how I can adjust the content to be more of what you like! For some reason I cannot embed it, so you just need to click the link below to open it in a new window. As a thank you for reading and taking the survey, I will be giving one participant a Kendra Scott cocktail ring and $15 Starbucks gift card.

Hi cutie, ruffle ravishing!!!! I’m all about the ruffles!!! I took the survey, it was a really good one and great idea for future content! Have the best week ahead lovely!!
I only have one ruffle top in my closet at the moment and that’s just not enough with how much I love them!! Love how you paired it with your flares!! xo, Biana –BlovedBoston
The ruffles are so cute!
I love this ruffled look! I am so ready for spring to! We have a cold week coming up here in the midwest. I have a question about the ruffled sweaters. I don’t like to accentuate my chest area. Does the placement of these ruffles do that? I plan to pick up some ruffle pieces for spring. Have a blessed week! Susan
Good question! I do not think this particular sweater would accentuate the chest area because the ruffles are vertical – as long as it isn’t too tight and doesn’t pull in that area. I think if a ruffle were horizontal (like the top in the all black outfit I wore last week), it could definitely draw attention. You might consider the v-neck peplum ruffle top or the cold shoulder ruffle top above where the ruffles are also not in the chest area.
Thank you!!
love this pretty blouse, you look adorable.
