How to Make an Outfit Your Own with Banana Republic

December 26, 2016

I’m excited to be talking about how to make an outfit your own with Banana Republic today. I’ve been fortunate enough to work with Banana Republic a couple times in the past. One of the fun parts about this collaboration is that they send me two items of their choosing. This is unlike most of my other partnerships where I pick the items. It always gives me an opportunity to get outside of my normal and really make an outfit my own.

Banana Republic sent this pretty dot flutter sleeve peplum top and feminine floral pink scarf. Polka dots and brighter shades of pink are not things I usually pick on my own. It was fun to get this package because I really do love both items. Since they are a little girlier than what I would normally select, I added my favorite leather moto jacket and dark jeans to stay true to my own style. I really loved how the outfit turned out which just goes to show we should step out of our comfort zones sometimes. So what about you: do you ever buy things a little outside your usual and challenge yourself to style them?

Be sure to check out Banana today because everything is 40% off with the sale items being an additional 60% off! That makes my top only $47. Gotta love those holiday deals.

Polka dots are so easy to wear! I love this feminine blouse and that scarf is so cute! I don’t wear pink that much so I love how you paired it with the leather jacket for an edgier look!

I love florals for matching with other prints, and matching with dots is a great exampe of it. So casual but yet so chic! Xx
