Merry Christmas Eve Eve everyone! I hope your weekend is rich with meaning and full of love and fun as we celebrate the birth of Christ. It’s also Russ’s 30th birthday. We’ll be keeping things low key and enjoying our first Christmas with sweet Ivy.
I want to celebrate every part of this journey. This child we weren’t sure we’d ever have, this pregnancy, this man by my side, answered prayers all around. I knew maternity photos would be part of that. I love photos, and being able to document this season of life was important to me.
Russ and I were fortunate enough to take maternity photos with my favorite photographer, Jami Leavitt. Jami took photos for us a couple years ago (here). She also took our pregnancy announcement photos. I knew I wanted to use these photos for our Christmas cards, so we decided to go a little glam. I ordered a gold dress, Russ wore his favorite suit, and Jami picked the perfect location. I planned to share these photos in December before Ivy was born. Of course she surprised us by arriving a little early. Not that I mind one bit. Our Christmas cards that say from “Russ, Amy Ann, and Baby Arnold” are a little funny though.
