My formula for adding a little edge to any look is killer shoes and/or special touches like modern denim or a fun jacket (think a leather moto or bomber jacket). In today’s look, I added these awesome buckle boots to a pair of straight, raw-hem denim. My pair is maternity, but you can shop an almost exact pair from the same line here and here. Can I get an amen for modern maternity denim?! I love all the denim options these days. From embroidered, to kick flare, to culotte, it’s all so fun. Pea in the Pod seriously has the best selection! I’m so thankful they sent me this pair and top to add a little edge to my weekend looks. I’m linking some fun pieces below that will add edge to any outfit.
I actually wore this outfit to work. Thank goodness for casual Fridays! Tonight we are having an early 30th birthday party for Russ since his birthday is Christmas day and three days before I’m due. He is so worthy of celebration. I feel honored to be his wife every day and so thankful for the way he loves and leads me. I didn’t know it at the time, but meeting him at age 17 and having his constant presence in my life is my greatest blessing. Not to mention he makes this blog possible by taking all the photos.
