Red and Tan

September 30, 2016

Red and tan will always be one of my favorite color combinations. It’s just such a classic pairing! This breezy red dressΒ (only $15!) is non-maternity but works well with my bump. I love how it pairs with the tan suede jacket. Warning: it is on the thin side. I added a slip.

I have to tell you the saga on this jacketΒ which IΒ fell in love when I saw it online. It was discounted during the Nordstrom sale, and I signed up for a debit card for the sole purpose of getting it during early access before it sold out. Well, after placing my order, I got a notice it was cancelled. Whomp whomp. After calling customer service, I was told it would be restocked when the sale went public (so much for signing up for the card…). They volunteered to place a new order for me as I would be traveling that day. The day arrived, no new order. Still sold out. I don’t live in an area with a Nordstrom, but since I was traveling, I checked there. Sold out. I stalked it online, and the second it came back placed an order. Only to have it back ordered. Well ladies, it finally shipped and came in last week! And the angels sang. I have several outfits planned in my head with it already. You can still buy it in olive (big color trend for this fall!) and burgundy.

Happy weekend everyone! I’ll be headed to see my niece for her fifth birthday. Hard to believe!

How frustrating, but I’m glad it finally came–just in time for fall too! I just got a similar jacket in the mail from H&M that I can’t wait to wear, so thanks for the inspiration to pair it with some bold red (and leopard! LOVE those booties!!).

Amy, you look incredible, girlie! I love the way this tan suede jacket looks paired with the dress; the color contrast is so beautiful and I love the pop of leopard! It’s so funny, I had the SAME experience with the green Blanknyc moto jacket, though my order was canceled about 4 times, haha. I stocked that jacket like no tomorrow and finally located it in Dallas and had it shipped to me in NY! Blank really hit a home run this season with their pieces. I’ve always been a fan, but they really came out with some gorgeous colors and fabrics for the season, they nearly sold out instantly! I’m glad you were able to finally get your hands on this one because it really does look amazing on you! Thanks so much for sharing and I hope you have a great weekend ahead, beauty!

I can see why you worked so hard to get that jacket–it’s beautiful! I was eyeing a suede bomber on Nordstrom this morning but still on the fence (mainly about which color I like more, ha!) Love how you styled it with bright red; so unexpected but a perfect match!
