4 Ways to Style a Pleated Blush Midi Skirt

March 17, 2016

This skirt gets the award for my most blogged piece of clothing. Since I am rewearing it yet again (real life), I thought I would share 4 ways to style a pleated blush midi skirt. It’s a surprisingly versatile piece of clothing, not to mention ultra comfortable. Blush is everywhere this season since it is one of the Pantone colors of the year, so maybe this will give some styling ideas for other blush pieces too. I’d like to give myself a little pat on the back for pairingΒ this skirt with serenity (cough, cough, baby blue) back in September (here). I’m linking a bunch of skirt options below as mine is now sold out, but this one is the closet to mine and is only $25!

Today I paired my skirt with a contrasting but complimentary top. This burgundy floral blouseΒ (under $20) with the high-neck is so fun. I kept my shoes and bag nude as not to create busyness. I continue to love my nude lipstick ($5 drugstore find), so I keep wearing it with everything. Also, sorry for all the posts this week. I just had a lot to share with you!

4 Ways to Style a Pleated Blush Midi Skirt

  1. Double the Blush – As seen here, blush looks great with, well, blush for a monochrome look. You might also consider adding a fun layering piece like a vest.
  2. Double the Pastels – Pick another pastel color, like baby blue, and pair it with blush as seen here.
  3. Add Some Edge – Black gives a nice contrastΒ to blush. It can also be fun to pair a midi skirt with a fuller top as seen here.
  4. Add Some Contrast – As seen in this post, a complimentary but contrasting color like burgundy looks great with blush.

Not only I love ALL the ways you styled this pretty skirt, I love all the shoes you wore with each outfit. This outfit looks so good either with a pale or white top or a floral blouse. You can totally repeat this outfit for Fall since the blouse is maroon. =)

I LOVE a good blush midi skirt — it’s my favorite spring wardrobe essential. I especially love the length of yours — it’s so modest but feminine and beautiful. And so flowy!!

You are like a beautiful Spring Bouquet in this outfit. The skirt is stunning as I have told you before. I need a blush midi skirt, in like a chiffon material or with soft pleats. Love the blouse too. Where is the blouse and shoes from?

You have created fantastic outfit with this blush skirt. My favorites are today and the combination with the pale blue top and fun tassel clutch!
