Tailored Denim Dress

February 19, 2016

I’ve been looking for the perfect denim dress for some time now. It was starting to seem like an all elusive thing when I stumbled across this Ann Taylor tailored denim dress. Not too short and fitted in all the right places, it ended my search. Not to mention, I loved the pockets. I don’t know if you caught Wednesday’s post with my striped wide leg pants, but I am seriously loving Ann Taylor’s new spring pieces! I just ordered this polka dot top and pant set. I got everything at either 50% or 30% off too. I paired my denim dress with one of my all-time favorite pairs of boots to keep the retro vibe. In semi-related fashion news, is anyone else going gaga over all the street style snaps from NYFW? I even started a new board on my Pinterest account. So much great inspiration.

Hope you all have a great weekend! Russ and I are meeting my sister and brother-in-law in Oklahoma City to see my first ever Thunder basketball game. I’m so excited! My niece has also starting playing basketball (cutest thing ever), so we are staying the night to catch one of her games. I’m imagining lots of running with the ball.

This was a great find – I got rid of my denim dresses recently as they were either too tight, too high at the waist or just plain not working for me.

So many shirt dresses are bulky and have extra unflattering fabric. I just got rid of one in my closet. This one is slim and fitted and fabulous though! It’s making me think I need to give shirt dresses another chance, especially when they are this cute! Love the booties with it!

That is such a great dress. It fits you like a glove. Love the pop of color in those boots, too. Have fun at the game!
