Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend. If you follow me on Snapchat (straightastyle), you already know Russ and I went with my parents to a demolition derby. It was really fun and a total cultural experience in small town Oklahoma.
This fringe and suede outfit feels really me: trendy but not too dressy, a little edge but not grunge, neutral, and non-girly. Since I love my denim skirt so much, I had been eyeing its suede counterpart. When this Topshop version was part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, I took the plunge. It’s the only thing I bought, and I love it. (Sidenote: Wow, who knew that was such a big thing in the blogging world?!). The skirt is real suede and very nice quality (more budget friendly option here). I loved the rust color. I think these will continue to be a big trend for the fall, and I can’t wait to wear mine with a sweater. This Forever21 fringe top made the perfect pairing. I had been on the hunt for a fringe top like this since seeing a more expensive version on several of the bigger bloggers I admire. At only $17, this one fits the bill for me.

Cool suede skirt and top! Got some ballerinas by Jeffrey Campbell too. Thanks for linking up with Turning Heads Tuesday! Sabina | Oceanblue Style
I looked at that skirt at the Nordstrom sale – looks great on you – and love how you styled it. I went to a tractor pull last year at a local fair and it was definitely a cultural experience and more fun that I thought it would be.

Love how you’ve kept it simple so that the texture of the suede and the fringe stand out without being swamped by anything else. That skirt is a great buy and will carry through to Autumn and will be great for Spring too.
