I’m so excited to be collaborating with The Shopping Bag today as part of their Styles to Take You Miles Summer Collection. They are taking a virtual road trip through the U.S., and I am thrilled to be the Oklahoma blogger. Not only am I getting to show you some awesome clothes (linked below), share a special discount (25% off with the code STYLEOKLAHOMA, say what?!), but I also get to show you a bit of my city. Be sure to head over to The Shopping Bag’s blog to see my full interview for more on my style and state.
Tulsa is an awesome place with a really cool history. I picked historic Route 66, one of the original U.S. highways, part of which runs right through Tulsa. It’s always been a neat part of the history of Oklahoma. I also thought it would be fun to show you some of our downtown skyline. At one point, Tulsa was the oil capital of the world. Consequently, we have some really neat art deco and architecture preserved from the wealth of the time. Recently our downtown has seen a neat revival of culture and nightlife. Russ and I spend a lot of time there on the weekends.

I just did the Route 66 roadtrip to LA and I was so disappointed that when I went to Tulsa it was raining and I didn’t get to explore! It seems like such a cool city
