Lesouque

May 27, 2015

I’m excited to be collaborating with Lesouque today. Lesouque is a carefully curated marketplace of one-of-a-kind pieces from independent designers. Growing up in Turkey, founder Gokben Yamandag always had a keen desire to introduce the talents of her home country beyond its borders.  Her initial idea has quickly evolved to include pieces from designers and artists from other countries and cities she has lived and visited – from London to Austin, Copenhagen to Mumbai, Paris to New York and most places in between. Co-founder, Penelope Fisher joined the team soon after the company was established to contribute her passion for discovering new and inspiring pieces and her love of anything that sparkles. Gokben and Penelope tirelessly work together to uncover talented designers and carefully hand-pick each item displayed on the website.  It’s important to the duo to not only know the story behind each product, but also to know each designer. Their vision is to bring unique finds from independent designers and introduce their stories.

Lesouque described their target clientele as “someone who embodies a chic style, admires creativity and craftsmanship, and enjoys discovering undiscovered designers,” and I sure think that fits my readers. You of all people appreciate style. You are unique and have great taste. There is more to fashion than mainstream trends. The piece I have today is a wallet made in Ecuador. It has special meaning for me because that is where Russ and I went on a mission trip two years ago. If you’ve been reading this blog for any length of time, you may remember the posts about it (warning: personal). I love that Lesouque offers pieces with meaning like this and that I now have a wallet to remind me of our trip.

Lesouque officially launches on June 21st. Today they are offering you a $100 giveaway to their site. Will have to check out Lesouque, I am a sucker for one of a kind pieces, which makes it harder in the blogging world, but then that is what I love, to be different yet relatable :). Love your gap dress, I was eying this one during the recent sales, gave up, because I wouldnt fit into it very well..sigh…

You look beautiful Amy – another perfect example of why it’s so hard to believe you’d ever have “fashionista’s block” : )

I think I may have to treat myself to those heels by the way. I’m obsessed with lace ups right now!
