Weekends with Be the Plebeian

I was so excited when Brandon and Jasmine from Be the Plebeian reached out to me about participating in a fun series they have started sharing a side-by-side weekend comparison. I loved the idea of learning what they did on their real days and getting to share with you all one of ours. Most of what you see here is fashion, but as you can imagine, our life is so much more. If you haven’t checked out Be the Plebeian, you definitely need to. Brandon and Jasmine have a knack for making the everyday look extraordinary. They are always exploring and generally finding fun in life.

8 am – This is my favorite spot in our home. I usually wake up before Russ, and I love sitting here with a cup of coffee watching the light come in. It’s almost as if the house wakes up with me. I often read my Bible or just take a few moments to be still if the day allows for it.

10 am – On this particular Saturday, I got to meet Jami for a fun coffee date. She has been in Utah for a while, and it was great to catch up.

12 pm – Okay, the reality is that I do have to blog on the weekends to keep up!

2 pm – Russ and I took advantage of the beautiful weather and walked around our neighborhood. We moved a little over two years ago to just outside of Tulsa, primarily because we were attracted to all the green space. We are really thankful to call this place home.

4 pm – This weekend happened to be one at home, sandwiched in between two away. There was a lot of laundry doing, grocery store going, and general catching up on life happening. I thought I’d show you a picture of the fruit salad I made for dinner with friends rather than the piles of laundry. I typically plan our meals for the week over the weekend, and we try to eat pretty healthy.

6 pm – Russ and I snapped some blog pictures (see Monday’s post) on the way to dinner with friends. This is pretty typical. If I have an outfit I like and want to post, I try to just wear it wherever we are going so pictures are easy.

8 pm – We spent the evening grilling out, making s’mores, and enjoying time with a group of our friends. These are some of my favorite people. I’m really lucky to have a great community of women in my life.
