Saturdays with Nespresso

I’m excited about today’s post for two reasons: I love coffee, and I love Saturdays. What I love even more than each of those individually is when I have a Saturday with no plans and can have coffee at home at my leisure. I avoid leaving the house on Saturday mornings at all cost, but I still want good coffee. That’s where Nespresso comes in. We bought a Nespresso machine with the milk frother several years ago after trying it at a friend’s house. Upfront, it’s an investment, but when I think of all the lattes I have made at home, I know we have saved money. I even blogged about it back when my blog was about anything that crossed my mind. Since then, several of our friends have tried ours and bought one. It’s like pay it forward coffee style.

Basically a Nespresso machine makes espresso like a Keurig makes coffee: insert espresso pod, push button, drink espresso. We often make Americanos at home. They also have what they call an aeroccino (milk frother) that froths milk for a latte or a cappuccino. The whole process is super simple and delicious. Nespresso was kind enough to send me some of their new decaf options to try out, and they are all really good. Now special coffee doesn’t have to be reserved for Saturday mornings. And all was right in the world.
