How to Style a Poncho with Edge

December 7, 2018

Well if this isn’t the coziest poncho I ever did see (under $50)! Seriously though, I have worn it approximately 4 times since I got it last week. It comes in several colors too. I love that the knit is heavy but not thick. This means it weighs it down (i.e. it isn’t poofy) but doesn’t add bulk which makes it an actually flattering poncho! That can be hard to find! That brings me to the point of today’s post – how to style a poncho with edge. Two words: leather leggings.

I added my faux leather spanx leggings (a closet must have!) and these amazing new boots from Marc Fisher. This is the coolest yet easiest and most comfy mom outfit I have ever worn, though perfect for any non-mom day too. The heel on these boots is so comfy, and everything in this look is movable and not tight. Adding leather leggings and this style bootΒ kept this look from being to sweet or too frumpy. These are things I think a poncho has a tendency to go toward. Leather leggings keep things sleek. Combat boots (or any edgy style ankle boot) finish the look perfectly.
