Guide to Easy Mom Style

Today I am sharing a guide to easy mom style. One of the things you all mentioned in the survey, is more everyday mom style type posts. I have also gotten a few questions about mom wardrobe essentials. I definitely find myself dressing differently for different occasions: work, rare occasions without Ivy not at work, date nights with Russ, and then mom time with Ivy. The later has become the main way I spend my time, and I have found myself needing to make some adjustments to my wardrobe. It’s more casual than I’ve ever been, and there has been some learning curve for me. I don’t want to sacrifice style and lose myself though. With a few key pieces, I am able to spend time with her without feeling silly or improperly attired while also still feeling stylish.

Today’s outfit is a perfect example: a tee with unique details like a cold shoulder ruffle, stylish jeans, and cool flats. I actually wore this on Saturday to my nephew’s birthday. I was perfectly comfortable, able to keep up with the kiddos, and hold Ivy. This tee is easy to wash, so I wasn’t worried about spit up (always a possibility with Ivy).

I just added a “Shop” tab to the top of my menu with several dropdown options. One of which is “mom style.” It currently has all the things listed in my guide above, and it will also be a place I will update anytime I find a good mom friendly wardrobe piece.
