Styling a Dress with Sneakers

I am kind of obsessed with this dress. The cut (v-neck, fitted at the waist, flows out gracefully) is one that flatters every body type. I love the print. The paper airplanes are just so fun. Like a nod to childhood in a grown up dress. Anyway, I was debating on how to style it. I first tried on heels. That’s typically my go-to with a dress, but somehow it just felt a little too dressy. Then I thought about the whole styling a dress with sneakers thing. This fun blush velvet pair has been a favorite since I got them, and I loved how they dressed down my look.

Have you tried the whole sneakers with a dress trend? What I love about it is how it lends versatility to your wardrobe. I can now wear this dress much more casually with just the change of a shoe. I’m thinking it would be super cute like this (or with booties) with a long cardigan as it gets cooler too. Or I can easily style it for a date night with a strappy sandal. Win-win for maximizing your wardrobe.
